Heroes Haven Lodge - Dining Room

The Heroes Haven Lodge can accommodate up to six persons and a travel cot is available upon request.
The Lodge is accessed through wide sliding patio doors with easy access for wheelchair users into an open plan living area.

There are a number of Velux windows, throughout the lodge in order to maximise the amount of natural light and warmth from the sun.

All interior doorways slide to open and have been made extra wide and the door frames are lined with aluminium to give a shiny, smooth surface for those with visual restrictions

All electric light switches and sockets are easy access.
The cabin is fitted with Wireless Broadband and is centrally heated by LPG gas, as is the hot water


The facilities are as follows:

Heroes Haven Lodge - Lounge Large lounge.
Two double sofas (one converts to a double bed), provide a comfortable seating area.
Plasma electric fire with real flame effect, for extra heat and effect, should it be required.
Plasma television with Freeview/ DVD to provide entertainment for all the family.
Nest of Coffee tables
A small cloakroom leads off this area, housing a toilet and hand basin, especially convenient when the sofa bed is in use.

Dining Room
Large oak extending dining table with six faux leather dining chairs.
A high chair is available on request.

Kitchen
Well equipped kitchen with plenty of work surface and cupboards.
Electric oven with gas hob and extractor fan.
Dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer.

Heroes Haven Lodge - Living Room

Bedroom 1
Double/twin bedded room with bedside lights, radio alarm, television and hairdryer.
This leads through to a dressing area with wardrobe, drawers and shelving, and further into a wet room.
The wet room has a grab rail and fold down seat in the shower area.
The toilet has a grab rail on one side and an assistance rail on the other.
A basin and large well lit mirror completes this room.
Emergency exit

Bedroom 2
Double/twin bedded room with bedside lights, radio alarm, television and hairdryer.
This leads through to a dressing area with wardrobe, drawers and shelving, and further into a wet room.

Heroes Haven Lodge

Exterior:
The south facing patio doors open onto a large decking area, furnished with garden table, chairs and parasol allowing you to enjoy the Dorset sunshine.
A chimnea to take the chill off those not quite so balmy evenings, complete with a gas barbecue are also provided.

The gravel beds are planted with flowers and shrubs chosen for their therapeutic properties, and careful thought has been given to colour combinations.
A large evening terrace houses a large bench, where you can enjoy a sundowner whilst watching the sunset over the Purbeck hills.
Pathways around the garden are all flat, and much of the garden is surrounded by rails to encourage those not quite so steady on their feet.

A separate tarmaced area provides convenient parking for two vehicles.

The Lodge was designed and built by Surf Bay Leisure. Unique to us, this lodge has been built to the highest specification.

The grounds were designed by Rumbold Ayers, Landscape Designers
